Dell Price Protection

I'm on the phone now with Dell, trying to get a refund through their Price Protection policy on a system I bought last month, which is cheaper now, within the 30 day window. They've transferred me to 3 different people, and now I'm on hold to speak with my 4th person. I think it's their procedure to frustrate the customer, so they'll give up on the PM refund. I'll keep you updated.

Now this person wants to trasnfer me to a 5th person. I bought the system through their Employee Purchase Program, as my company gets a discounted rate, but it's for home use. So they keep transferring me from the Home Dept to the Business Dept. Each dept thinks the other has to deal with me. I'll do this all day if I have to. I'm getting my $100 back!

I'm fighting with dell right now over a defective monitor and it's not going too well so far. Maybe I'll have to deny the charges and that'll get their attention.

I'm a Dell fanboy because they've built a reputation for great customer service in the past. They're really going to hurt themselves if they turn that around.

Still on hold...

She keeps coming back to say, "Sir? OK, I need a few more minutes."

All the while, I know she's filing her nails, and comes back every 5 minutes to see if I've given up or not.

She just came back on while I'm typing this to tell me she sees that the price difference is over $50, and does qualify for the refund, but that she needs a few more minutes. Whatever. I've got all day, lady!
