might be a lot cheaper to get its Inspiron 8500 twin and buy the video board from dell parts (only guessing on it being a separate card)

Are you sure about that. It the logical way to think, but Hitachi lists the same power requirement as their 5400rpm model.

I cant see to many people needing one of these M60s. Its mostly for professionals and uber-geeks.

I might buy it. I don't see why the battery life will be too bad. Uses same amount of power as a 5400rpm HD. The CPU is centrino. The graphic card has 128mb RAM. I dig it. I am getting it.
I don't understand why no one is excited about this machine???
