Dell Powersupply

In all my intelligence, I used a Dell PSU to power an Asus mobo. Since Dell PSUs (at least the one I used) are different from normal ATX PSUs, is there any hope for the board? Anything? It still powers on, no beeps or anything. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with a Dell power supply. Dell normally rates them below their actual capacity. Also, their power supplies, as far as I know, all have Dell's own connectors.

See here - http://www.upgradingandrepairingpcs.com/articles/upgrade3_01_01.asp. I seem to have found the kind of Dell PSU that makes you think its an ATX PSU until you plug it in and nothing happens. Also, mine didn't smoke, it seems to turn on normally, but it doesnt do anything(aside from lighting an led on the board and spinning hte fans. Nothing look damaged, is there anyway i can recover the board? and minendo, its running out of the case on a piece of carboard so I hope its not shorting out...
