DELL PowerEdge T105 Server

Dont forget: 56K Internal Modem [add $69] LOL!

But seriously, DO remember: 16X SATA DVD Drive add $0, default is no optical drive at all.

And to the person above, $70 is for next day shipping, change the shipping option to go down to 3-5 Day Delivery $19.99

How many drives does this thing hold? I am looking to build a new server and the costs of the processor, ram, and MB will run about the same. Honestly, if I could get it in a new case that can handle 6 drives, I would be happy.

Sorry no more than 5 drives will fit:

2 x 3.5" Non-Hot Swap for Hard-Drives
1 x 3.5" Floppy
2 x 5.25" for optional DVD-ROM, DVD/CD-RW and Tape Backup

That was my fear. I also question whether the onboard sata controller will have more than 2 ports anyways 🙁

Ill just stick with my original upgrade plans for now.

Tempting again. I can live with 4 onboard SATA connectors. It has a PCIE x8 slot or two for a controller if needed. Anybody know if this thing has hardware virtualization capability?

Yeah, i know the chip can. But has Dell enabled it through the Bios? i went looking through the manuals and it didnt show the option. But maybe they are old online manuals? Guess my best bet is to call them.

I was examining the specifications like the rest of you. I have a couple of questions, though. I did not find these questions answered?

Does this system support IDE drives?
Are we sure that non-ECC memory will work?
Are there drivers for Windows XP Pro?
