Looks like it has 2x80GB in the config I got. That's hot if you're looking for a screaming server. Just drop your favorite distro in and you're good to go.

For a web server, does the Xeon 2.8 1Mb 800MHz FSB offer a significant difference over a P4 2.8 1MB 800MHz FSB? Not talking high volume here... also, how noisy is the Xeon server?

no, and if you ask me this is really not that hot, just build a rig

No way you can build a Xeon Server with a REAL server mobo for less than 600...

EDIT: Not to mention with 2 80 gig SATA HDDs

I don't think he's saying build a Xeon rig... my question was whether or not the Xeon was overkill for a low-volume web server... the SC420s are somewhat less expensive for a similar setup... and that's basically what my question was... which would be more suitable for my needs and whether I would even notice the difference (meaning, if I can't tell the difference, why spend the extra money?) :) Thanks Chunkee

I wasn't refering whether or not it was a good deal for YOU, but he said "this is really not that hot" refering to the deal overall. Maybe overkill for your needs, but this IS a HOT DEAL!
