I know some of you here had brought cheap Dell PowerEdge entry level server as desktop. I am thinking about getting few for work and use along side with the Dell Precision T7400/T5400 that we have now. I'm looking at the PowerEdge 840 or T100 model. Probably add a new graphic card and an old Creative Audigy to add sound and firewire. The graphic card will be likely an old Nvidia 7900GS or Quadro NVS 290 that comes with the precision T7400. Am I going to have issues with using those cards with the onboard PCI-e 8x slot?
Going to use the machine mostly for Adobe CS4 packages. Maybe some 3D with Maya or XSI and video editing with Premiere & After Effect.
