dell poweredge 2600 ide burner

i just got a ata card, so i can use a plextor cd-writer with my server. I cant get it to load ne more. It always stops after loading the perc raid drivers and doesnt load from the HD. I had workin at one point put tried 2 add a dvd-rom also with no luck. so i went back to what i had and still no luck
