DELL P3 600 MHZ CPU QUESTION!!!!!!!!~!~

yeah my buddy's dad has like 10 dell p3 600 MHZ machines and he wants to upgrade them, but i am curious before i open them up next week what type of 600 megahertz CPU dell uses.. ?? DOES anyone know whether it is the 600mhz w/512k, the 600eb w/133mhz bus, the 600e w/100mhz bus or the 600b w/133mhz bus..

also if you're not sure does it say on the cpu? i cant remember its been a while since i played with pentiums... ewww
 
if its an xps t600 then they are most likely Cumine's cause my frined has a dell dimensions xps t600 and sandra says its a coppermine! not sure if its fact but i wouldnt doubt it.

edit<i forgot to mention that on bootup it says PentiumIII 600E>/edit
 
Everything at 500 and above is a cumine...

You can see when it boots whether it's a E or EB... I would doubt that they would run a 133 bus in a Dell for that low a CPU.

also does anyone know what kinda ram they throw in these systems whether it is pc 100 or pc 133 and whether its cas2 or 3 or whatnot.. thanks again!
 
depends on if the cpus are E(x100fsb) or EB(x133fsb).
seeing that it's dell you'll get the correct rated ram but I suspect cas3!
 
actually the dell ram is very very good, at CAS 2, all 6 sticks that i had ran at cas2 as well...
it is 133mhz and was pulled out of a dell system..
 
hey sorry if i didnt get back to ya ive had a busy weekend yeah ive had them for sale a couple of days fellas, sold most of them this week, they are p3 600 EB w/256k of cache 133 mhz bus... thanks again if you want one let me know i have two left!
