I'm trans-gender-racially-challenged.

LOL, when I got my Dell 600m I never even booted off the hard drive once. Stuck in a fresh WinXP SP2 CD courtesy of my school, booted off the CD-ROM and did a fresh install.
Of course, later on I realized I should've at least visited the Dell site and downloaded drivers first.

Why not use the Dell disc? It doesn't install any applications at all. When I got my XPS Gen4, I formatted right away and used the bundled disc. Just the OS, no junk. Then I put in the resource disc that had all of my drivers on it and loaded everything off there. Tada! No bloatware, just the OS with drivers. 🙂
I'm a *VERY* happy Dell customer! 😀 <-- it's really Gatorade! Honest! (Beer's nasty)
