Dell Outlet: Scratch and Dent: How bad are these?

I have a decent system in my cart right now but it is labeled as scratch and dent. How bad are these... damaged?

the cases are sometimes kind of jacked up, like a big scuff down the sides, but they perform just fine.

Dell cases are remarkably durable according to my experience in computer recycling (when things piss me off, that means I get to literally throw things). If the computer still works, it hasn't had the kind of trauma needed to SERIOUSLY jack it up....

Actually, that's not quite right. I tossed one Dell, and it hit at JUST the right angle and the side panel literally SHATTERED into a billion pieces - but it's still a very all-or-nothing deal. Either it's in pretty good shape, or it's totally obliterated... And totally obliterated wouldn't be listed as scratch and dent.
