It seems that 24" is the sweet spot right now for LCD's. I've been looking at a lot of different ones and reading a lot different posts and it seems that the two big contenders are the Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC and the BenQ FP241W (or FP241WZ if available). I'm really not sure which one to get considering I have read a lot of positive and negative things about both. The thing that worries me about the Dell is the 10-20ms input lag. I'm a pretty big gamer and play titles such as CSS, COD2, UT, Company of Heroes, etc.. I really don't want anything affecting my game play. Has anyone heard or seen any ghosting issues? The thing that worries me about the BenQ is I read of random blackouts. People will be playing a game and then all of a sudden the monitor will blackout.
On the positive side Dell has great support and is cheaper then the BenQ by about $100. On the other hand BenQ I have read is consider one of the best that you can buy and you definitely get your money's worth. So what do you guys think is the better monitor? Please give me some input and if you have heard about the above negative things and if they are true. If you have any other recommendations for other LCD's feel free to post those as well. Also I will be using this strictly as a monitor for my PC, so HDMI connectors is not a issue with me considering I have a 50" Plasma for all my TV watching and console playing. Thanks for the advice in advanced.
