I was given a Dell Optiplex GX260. I already put a stick of pc2700 512mb in it. What else do you guys suggest I upgrade on it. I want a faster CPU, video card, and possibly put like a sata card in it. What do you guys suggest?

Saving up some cash to purchase a new PC in general.

What are you using it for? It's relatively cheap now to replace what you have now with something much faster. After all is said in done upgrading the CPU, video card, and hard drive, it would only be a couple hundred or so to get a whole new PC.

I would go with Tarrant64's advice. Dell's have limited upgrade potential, due mostly to the proprietary componentry that they often include. I have three here, and while I have upgraded them in little bits over the years, it has always been more expensive than to upgrade an industry-standard build of similar capability. I think Dells are toasters. You use them until they wear out or become hopelessly obsolete, and then pass them down the food chain.

This machine would do more for you if you converted it to a Linux Ubuntu.
It has minimum usage capabilities and with the additional RAM will definitely improved its overall performance.
But as a modern day computer usage, you can can do some things nicely, but don't expect anything spectacular.
Save your money on upgrading and follow the suggestions of getting a newer machine.

At least tell us more specs for your system as well as what you plan on doing with it.
