Dell Optiplex GX150 won't boot

I've got a dell optiplex GX150 that won't boot. I ran the ctrl-alt-d hard drive diagnostics, hard drive came back with a return code of 7. Looked this up and it says the drive died. But could that also indicate a missing MBR? Is error code 7 always a hardware failure vs. a possible missing MBR or corrupt data?

Hard drive error code 7 in a Dell seems to be a common indicator of a hardware failure. If you have another PC available, download the Dell diagnostic disk and run the HD diags. It should tell you the reason for the error code.

Everytime i've had that failure code on a customer's pc, it indicated hard drive failing.
