This machine was bought used at a Mom&Pop store. It has no Dell service tag for service help (in any case, Dell warranty has expired and any help would be chargable). The tag on bottom says Ser# GK6F771 / Model# DHS. It is a box that sits flat. I have not been able to get definitive info online on whether or not I can upgrade the video. I have seen various sites (including Dell user manual) but the question about video upgrade hasn't been found.
The seller says it has 64MB video but this may or may not be accurate. I need at least 128MB video upgrade, 256 preferred. BTW, the seller says it has a P4 2.8 MHz, 512 MB RAM, 40 G HD. Plkease help before the store's return warranty expires.

Is your machine a model GX240? If so, this page from the manual on Dell's site says it supports only vid cards up to AGP 4x, 1.5 volt only. You may not be able to find a newer vid card that supports as much memory as you want.

Is this is your model? If so the specs show it uses PC133, which will cost a mint to upgrade, assuming there's room for as much RAM as you'd want.

How much did you pay? Maybe someone can give you some direction toward a better setup for what you can afford.

Yes, that's the box in appearance, but it is described by the seller as P4 2.8 MHZ and 512 RAM. So, I don't know what is available to me since it may be a different mobo with higher upgradability for the graphics.
