Dell is late with the XPS 700s. They are offering a 200 dell gift certificate or and upgrade to the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (4MB L2 Cache, 2.4GHz, 1066MHz FSB) from the
Pentium® D Processor 950 with Dual Core Technology (3.40GHz, 800FSB) I ordered.

If I take the 200 cert, I may get my computer in the next few weeks. If I take the upgrade, it will be at the earliest 10/20/06. Which should I do?

Is the upgrade chip really that much better that I should wait 2 months and give up a 200 cert?

Thanks

E6600 is way way way way better than the pentium-d 950 in all aspects. Much much higher performance, runs cooler, and uses less power.
