These off lease business systems are at least 3 years old. I've switched from Dell outlet to these refurbished systems for general home / home office / kids use. I find Optiplexes, Latitudes and Precisions hold up pretty well for everyday use. They are typically built better than consumer grade systems. It's easy to find replacement parts if they break.

Drawbacks:
100-day limited warranty but you can get a 1 year extended warranty on most systems for $39/$49
Most systems have low specs - RAM, HDD, CPU, etc. so you might need to do some upgrading

Thanks for the updated deal, @Lanyap , I snagged a quad-core i5-6440H (Skylake, I think), 8GB RAM (DDR4?), 256GB SSD, no webcam though, and only HD, not FHD, but only $275 after coupon.

Not sure what the battery life is going to be like, for an i5 "H" series CPU, but this will be my "computational tank" laptop.

As expected, there are no desktops available with a decent graphics card. The eBay scalpers probably got those a long time ago.

I picked up the same laptop several months ago. If you are interested in setting up a docking station arrangement check this out. There is a 15% off BF coupon good until tommorrow.

Keep an eye out on the battery. I removed the battery cover after I had it for a while to "check under the hood" and could not get the cover back on because the battery was swollen. I guess the previous corporate user kept it plugged in charging all the time. I ordered a new one from Dell. I din't want to take any chances on getting a cheap Chinese knockoff from ebay. The battery was not covered in the basic warranty.

Since these are business desktops I doubt you will find any high performance video cards. Most of them have built in graphics while a few have an older 2/4gb card.

They used to sell XPS systems on that site as well, so you would occasionally find something good.
