I've got the above and when I go to the TB website they say I should use the drivers provided by dell.

however, I'd like to move the sound card to an epox 8k3ae mobo. so should I still use the dell supported drivers or grab the ones provided by turtle beach.
system is running win2k w/ sp3

any advice is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Go ahead and find and use the latest drivers from Dell. It shouldnt do any harm - but only if TB doesn't offer any new drivers of the card from their site. It's always good to use the drivers from the card makers.

I dealt with someone who had a similar predicament with their PC and in general cases, using the drivers from the PC Maker is no big deal. You may only find a difference if the Dell system is Intel and the PC you are going to put the card into is AMD, VIA Cyrix, IDT, etc. in which case the drivers may not be optimized to work with a different processor. The same goes for SoftModems where the driver has to be optimized to work with the CPU.

Good Luck.
