Dell motherboards and new cases

Does anyone know for sure if a Dell 4600 motherboard can be used in a new case? OR are the screw holes un-aligned from the standard (thank you dell 🙁 )

sounds like a new PSU rather than a case+psu wouldnt help me either (referring to this thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...tid=27&threadid=1611381&enterthread=y)

I don't think the mobo mounting holes have ever been a problem. It's usually the power supply connections. The I/O shield pattern may be non-standard too.

yeah, i think im gonna have to sit on this Dell for a few months till i buy a new 'puter

The problem I ran into when trying to use new MB and PSU in a Dell case was the fact that the power/reset/pwr LED/HD LED were on combined connector vice seperate ones. Therefore the I had no way of connecting the pwr button on the case to the MB.
You can look at your MB and see if you have this issue.
