Dell Mini10 doesnt have a built in fan?!

I bought a used one from dell outlet. it gets HOT!
(120gig hd, 1gig ram)

is this normal?
if so, suggestions on something small/portable that doesnt xfer heat that i could put betwwen my lap and the mini10?

or better yet, something to just glue on the underside of the mini10?

Is CPU speed and voltage being lowered when the system is idle? Also what OS are you running? Seems like my Mini 9 runs a lot hotter with Linux than it does with XP or Win 7. I guess Linux clients just don't have as many power optimizations as Windows.

ah.. this was in dos as i was ghosting an image to it

Ah makes sense, DOS will have like no power management, lol. Should run much cooler once you get Windows or whatever OS you plan to use up and running.

I thought systems were supposed to be set up so that the default is 100% or somewhere higher up there until power management is connected.
