Dell Memory

I'm looking at this memory listed on Dell's site for a friend.

Does anyone know if this is "Cruical"? Sure looks like it to me.

His box a XPS 200 came with 512MB PC4200 and he wants to upgrade it, so I was showing him this Valueselect:

But is this Corsair, Non-ECC, Unbuffered?

I was figuring if that Dell memory was Cruical, then to get him a stick of it at ZipZoomFly:

ALOHA

Can't tell, they can resell anything.. have your friend pull his memory to see
they can be crucial/micron, samsung, hynix, and many other brand if he wants to get similar.

dell just puts there name on some ram, i dont think you can tell if it was made by a different company, but have him try running CPU-Z

Wait, if his system came with 512MB, it is very very likely he has two 256MB sticks. If he adds a single 512MB stick, he'll lose dual channel, and lower his performance. If he wants 1GB of system memory, he needs two 512's, or 4 256's.
