Dell Media Remote IR

I have a Dell Media Remote here.. the big kind.. looks basically like a TV remote for Media Center.

Anyway, my problem is with the dongle. It's giant and has another wire that has to be plugged into it for the remote to actually work. My computer already has IR on the front. Is there any way to have these two play nicely? I've done some googling but to no avail.

Hey, for those who want to know the solution, I fixed it!

Turns out some of the drivers are less compatible than others... although it's odd. I was using the latest one from Windows Update and it wouldn't work. Installed the older Dell one and it worked (sans dongle). Updated to the latest one from WU again and it still works (sans dongle).. Interesting.
