If you pay $2229 for a 30" widescreen LCD from Dell you should just be slapped hard. You can get a 37" from Sharp for the $500 more with 2-3 times the quality/features.

But if you need to have a 17" or a 23" those prices are about right, depending on the features.

That 30 inch was 3000 just a few weeks ago. Better to wait and let it fall even more. I also have some reservations about its quality. Is it a re badged unit, like Westinghouse 30 inch, which resembles it very closely. In any case J and R has an off brand for 1600.
