Dell, LCD, and 802.11G PCI card problem

I just installed a Linksys 802.11G PCI card into a friend's half-year old Dell desktop with 17" LCD. Since I installed the wireless card, anytime he plays Warcraft III, the monitor appears to lose sync every few seconds of play. Everything appears to be fine during Internet and other general usage, but game playing simply does not work. The monitor?s power LED goes to amber with a blank screen, comes back on, etc. What can possibly be causing this? It never happened before install of the card.
