Dell Latitude E5420 Display Behavior

Hello,

Does anybody have the Dell Latitude E5420 laptop? If yes, please perform the following scenario:

1) Use your laptop on the AC power source
2) Disconnect the power cord from the laptop
3) Look at your screen, does the display became high-contrasted?

I have this little problem but after switching between windows the contrast becomes normal.
My laptop has HD+ (1600x900p) display.

Please let me know if this is a common or specific problem.

Thanks.

I have the exact same laptop with HD+ screen... however, I don't see any change in contrast... however, the display does have 2 points which irks me:
1) In the scenario you mentioned, my display brightness always increases. I usually have to press Fn+Down arrow key to bring the brightness down.
2) At the lowest brightness, especially in battery mode, the brightness of my display flickers. This does not happen if I increase my screen brightness even up by 1 notch by pressing Fn+Up arrow key once.
