dell Laser printer W5300 network errors

I'm currently working on a Harley Davidson dealership that has 2 Dell W5300 printers, the issue is that durning the course of use the printers will display "RIP software" and quit working. As far as the dealership knows there is nothing they are doing out of the ordinary on their systems/network to cause this to happen it randomly happens with no answer. I have upgraded the drivers with no change, I did some more research and there is a known issue with this when there is port monitorting software (which there is none on the server or local stations) and they recommend to upgrade thie bios of the printers. I did this and the error is happening all the same, they have a sister dealership that has the same exact printers working just fine, so I took a look at the network settings and the installed networking software both are configured exactally the same.

Server is a dell power edge 2800, printers are connected via cat5 to the network

Have you tried contacting Dell tech support? I wouldn't bother calling - use their online contact form, you're likely to get a more knoweledgeable response.
