Hey all.
Well I was helping my sister she needed a laptop, nothing high end, and that had financing so I thought dell would be good, now she also wanted a wireless network so we got router that came with dells deal, : http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=316# [router], everything has been going smooth like butter except i never set up a wireless network hooked up to the a laptop (and to be honest I only setup one other wireless network and in that situation we had to get a seperate card and antenna for it to work) tho it seems pretty straight forward, I just had a concern... my concern is the laptop (the Inspiron 6000) comes with the "Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915 Internal Wireless (802.11 a/b/g, 54Mbps) Card" now does this mean that It will beable to automatically connect to the network (without a transponder/antenna going into the ethernet port) or do I need to buy a D-link transponder? Or does the Transponder come included with the retail router?
Sorry if that didn't make much sense, its just that my sister so far has got the router (though shes at home and hasn't opened it) and she has either the printer or the laptop waiting at the purolater for her.. I am just trying to pre-emptively solve any problems.
thanks for your help
