Dell Laptop Warranty Question

I am getting a Dell Laptop and was gonna buy 2gb to put it in instead of being charged $150 for 2gb from them. Will it void my warranty though? If something happened to it as long as I put the factory back in would they repair it?

It won't void your warranty. Dell just won't warranty components that didn't come from Dell.
