E6410

14.1" UltraSharp™ WXGA+(1440x900) Anti-Glare LED with Premium Panel Guarantee

so is this the matte finish or glossy?

'cuz I want the matte finish.

found it:
Antiglare (AG): A matte finish that diffuses light, resulting in no reflection and narrower viewing angles. Anti-Glare technology is designed to reduce the intensity of reflected light from the surrounding environment, making it ideal for typical office settings as well as for the varying lighting conditions in environments, such as customer sites, airports and other public spaces.
TrueLifeTM : A TrueLife display has a glossy appearance which amplifies the contrast ratio of the panel. TrueLife technology delivers darker blacks and colors that pop for vivid graphics and lifelike video. It is ideal for home, gaming or video use.
UltraSharpTM : UltraSharp panels are those panels which have a ppi (pixels per inch) of 120 or higher.

If I had to guess, I'd say glossy, just because Anti-Glare tends to be a term associated with those panels. But from a quick look at NotebookReview's forums, the E6410 seems to have a matte screen, so maybe it's an anti-glare matte screen?

It's matte. You can assume, unless otherwise mentioned, that business-class notebooks will have matte (anti-glare) screens. Vice-versa for consumer-grade notebooks.

Anti-glare = Matte
True-life, brilliant, or other "shiny" sounding names = glossy

glossy looks great on low-end notebooks, personally; but if I'm going to down over 1K on a business notebook, I'm not settling for a glossy.

thanks.
