Dell laptop number 3 explodes

doh, I was just about to post this. Dell is gonna a lot of reliability hits from all this unwanted publicity, though.
 
has any reason been deducted from the previous 2 incidents?

Were the laptops plugged into wrong outlets? was there a surge at the time? was a power strip involved? or was it just a matter of exploding without reason?
 
IIRC all of these are due to batteries that were recalled a while ago.

Sure, Dell is going to have more of these incidents than other mfrs because they ship so many more machines. Also, its cool to pick on the big guy :roll: I'm no fan of Dell machines, but knock 'em down where they deserve it. These incidents are rare and most likely just caused by people not being aware of the recall & getting their batteries replaced.
