Dell Laptop Monitor Flicker

The LCD Monitor on my laptop flickers on and off at times. I have to tilt the monitor to get it back. Also, the monitor will stay on but the actual picture will sometimes flicker and distort. For example, some colors will have a pinkish, pulsating appearance to them.

Has anyone ever seen this or have any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thanks.

Sounds like a busted LCD screen inverter, which you should be able to get Dell to fix (if you're under warranty). Mine went bad after being banged around a bit. Unfortunately, it's one of those "we have to send a technician to your house" deals (apparently they think the average user can't replace an inverter). It's one of the more fragile parts of the screen, but watching the guy doing it I was like "you know, I fix those for a living". Anyway, I'd call ASAP: usually it flickers for a while then goes out completely.
