OK

Look I have tried to go to computer stores that sell lappys that have a resolution of 16*12 but none come close. Most laps dont support even dells 1400x1050.

I have a 14x1050 but I want the ultra sharp display. My pnly concern is that 1600x1200 is too small. Anyone have a 16x1200 screen what are your exoperiences.

IT SUCKS!
Don't do it. Yeah you can set your fonts large but things that are an image are fricken impossible to read. Load up a sluggy.com cartoon and you have to put your face nearly into the lcd screen to read it. Delorme Street Atlas USA 8 didn't support larger sizes and is impossible to read the street names. Had to get Street Atlas USA 2003.
I wouldn't mind a 1280x1024 lcd screen but 1600x1200 is just way too much for a 15" lcd.

I've got the 1600x1200 screen on my Inspiron and haven't had any problems reading it. Fonts are set at normal size and cleartype is turned on.

I've had 1600x1200 on my ThinkPad's 15-inch display for two years now, and I've never had a problem with it. I've never had a problem with reading anything. I can set the fonts to the smallest size and there aren't any readability problems at all.

I'm running at 1400x1050 and it's perfect for me.

I forgot about cleartype and I just enabled it but....it seems a little to blurry/fuzzy for me. Anyone else think like me?

I'm on a 1600x1200 Dell laptop right now, haven't changed any settings, and now "normal" monitors look strange to me. Unless you are bad with up close vision, I say go for it.

So images are going to be super tiny. While text can get increased??? Is that right???

Unless your eyesight is horrid, 14x10 should be fine, and even 16x12 - especially with large fonts enabled. The crispness of the fonts and pictures and huge desktop/window area are awesome.
