Dell laptop keyboard problem

I want to get a few opinions on this problem before I start ordering parts.

If you press the #2 key, it registers both the #2, and #3 key as being pressed. It does this with these 4 combos of keys; 2+3, W+E, S+D, X+C.

You can press either key out of those combos, and the other will be pressed as well.

I have tried so far
[*]Blowing out the keyboard
[*]Reinstalling the driver
[*]Reseat the connection

Where do you think the problem is coming from?

Well it's usually for desktop keyboards, a dishwasher will be a little rough on a laptop keyboard me thinks, but if it ain't any good anyway...

Yea I agree that a dishwasher is a bit harsh. However, there usually isn't any ICs (black chips) on keyboards and its just contacts/leads. So if you remove the keyboard and wash it gently with some water it might just do the trick. Just make SURE it is totally dry before plugging it back in. If there are integrated chips on the keyboard module use distilled water. The worst thing that can happen is that you bork your keyboard and you need to get a new one anyway. You can typically get laptop keyboards pretty cheap on ebay.
