I'm looking to buy said laptop. I've heard that the duo runs relatively cool. Are there any overclocking options on the mobo? I'm looking to pair it with a 7900gs go, so even a slight bump will keep the lappy around longer.

This will be used for gaming at resolution 1440x800 (if i remember correctly) and my college education for the next 4 years.

My dad is looking at the same laptop and I have a slightly different question:

Stock memory runs at 533, but an upgrade option is 667.

I thought 667 was stock speed? Is this true and how much of a performance hit would getting the slower speed RAM be? (it's also a single channel 512 MB module)

Bump. I read up on something about grounding a pin, if the motherboard supports Merom. It went way over my head, does anyone know anything about it? it's supposed to yield a higher fsb.
