Hello all not sure I'm in the right place but just wondering if there is anyone here that could help, just bought a used Dell XPS laptop and I got locked out of the bios and I have tried to use some generators but they are for five digit and mine is an eight digit code (3B2293CB) service tag number is H4LJYP1 I have called Dell and got nowhere unless I extend the warranty for 249.00????
Curently windows 7 professional is up and running and someone I read could reset password through DOS with a debugger tool but when I typed debugger as the comand the system replied with not vailid
So any help would be apperciated

Welcome to AnandTech Forums. Sorry I had to lock your thread on our forums but the kind of information you need would also be needed to access a stolen computer.
Your best recourse would be to contact the person who sold you the machine about it. If that is not possible, you can probably search the web for local authorized Dell tech support with the tools to reset the password.
