Dell l550r help

my comp froze up yesterday. it was up and running fine but then suddenly the screen froze. on resetting it nothing seemed to respond. i dont even see the initial bios screen. tried removing all pci devices and any other peripherals but still no response. im guessing the motherboard's spoilt. the light on the motherboard however is on and the cpu fan is rotating. any suggestion on how i could go about debuggin/fixing the problem ?

I would try to reset the CMOS and give it a try again.

Correct but also the memory and only have the necessary pci cards installed and video card(reset this also).

yeah i tried all of that. cleared cmos. tried reseating the processor. the motherboard seems to be getting power and the cpu fan rotates. any other suggestions before i junk the mother board

Try new memory or a different video card. Also try booting it up with the motherboard outside of the case meaning it's not in the case because it could be shorting something somewhere.
