I bought this Dell's Multimedia Enhanced USB Keyboard (RT7D10, the black one).
It's really nice with 2 USB ports on the back, except one thing, Windows detects it as Japanese 106 Keyboard.

The layout of this keyboard is exactly the same as any other English keyboard.
I'm using English Version of Windows XP, and I have multi-language support enabled (English and Japanese input).
When I was using regular PS/2 keyboard (English one), I could type in Japanese input mode with English keyboard layout.
Now, with this keyboard, when I type in Japanese mode, the layout changes to Japanese keyboard layout, and some
keys do not correspond to the correct characters due to the slight difference in the layout. When I switch to English input
mode, the keyboard layout changes back to English and have no problem.

The keyboard driver itself is Windows default (which it should be, because Dell does not provide the specific driver for
this keyboard), and I can't seem to change it to any other English keyboards (I can choose many Japanese keyboards
from the device listing).

Can someone help me please?

I cant help you beyond the fact that manufacturers rebadge components all the time, nothing uncommon.

You may be able to edit the profile in your Device Manager to specify it as a standard U.S. keyboard (or English if you want British layout).
