My notebook computer (Inspiron 8100) is about 6 months old and the PC card slots stopped functioning. Dell sent out someone to pick it up Monday after lunch, and Wednesday after lunch it was back! I couldn't believe the speedy service. But that's not the best part.

They replaced my system board (I expected this... good part is that its a newer revision) but they didn't stop there. Dell also replaced my keyboard, touch pad, and palm rests (showing signs of wear), and they replaced the cover (small scratch) and secured the hinges that connect the screen to the case (the screen was starting to before loose and moved easily).

I basically have a new notebook computer here and it was all for free!

it was probably easier for them to replace everything.

worked out for you.

i find that dell's service is really as good as the technician that you end up with.

Dell is alright in my book. They gave me great customer service on the Dell I a long time ago before I started building my own.

I lost a screw from the bottom of my Inspiron 8100. Contacted tech support, and they were going to ship one right out to me :)

I found it though. But when they offer to replace ONE screw that fell out of the bottom of a laptop...thats just good customer service :)

i gotta get with them, my mouse likes to travel across the screen by itself, not sure if it's the touchpad or what, does it when i got an external mouse plugged in, and when i don't. it's annoying trying to click on something.

You should see instant, onsite service .... I watched as they replaced a broken LCD and a keyboard (I dont want to know how the heck this employee did so much damage in one business trip...)

Took them a grand total of 20 minutes. Gave the guy a soda and i'm sold on dell for corporate computer purchases

yeah, I think Dell rules... I fullheartedly recommend it to anyone. My sister just got her computer and when I ordered it the guy was like "well we'll match all the colors so it looks and and lets see... we can knock 100 bucks off your current price and.... OH we can thrown in a 20 port switch for free" It was from the small buisness section

DUDE, DELL RULES!

The screen on my I8000 is dying. :( The bottom left goes dim after a few minutes while the AC adapter is plugged in, but returns to normal when it's unplugged. It's not power saving settings either. :(

I asked Dell for a replacement HD for my Inspiron 4000 because it was causing line noise on the headphone jack, and it came within 2 days, but that's not the best part...

They sent me a 30GB drive as a replacement. I had a 10GB before. Dell's alright in my book! :D
