i ordered an lcd monitor over the weekend and since early monday (6am), my order status has been shipped. however, they never sent me a tracking number, and when i log into my dell account to check the status of the order, it says shipped, but the tracking number will not be provided til the package is at the courier's hub or something. so i am like "fine, whatever", since it does have an estimated ship date of on or before 4/7/05. i got home tonite and the lcd is waiting for me... i got the package before they got me a tracking number. i live in nj and this package came from tx... thanx dell for the 2nd day shipping 😀

I've got 2 2001FPs and a 1905FP 🙂

If all you want to check for is dead pixels, try This. It works very well 🙂

some dude over at fatwallet suggested this... lcd looks good 😀 i was thinking about springing for the 21" lcd, but it costed over $150 for the extra 2".... i went cheap and stuck with the 1905 😱

$150 doesn't buy you 2"...it buys you an increase in usable resolution from 1280x1024 to 1600x1200. If you need the real estate (development, graphics, design, multitasking), it's a must.

$150 doesn't buy you 2"...it buys you an increase in usable resolution from 1280x1024 to 1600x1200. If you need the real estate (development, graphics, design, multitasking), it's a must.

hmm.... i will need to rethink my purchasing decision. i guess while i do so, maybe the price will drop some more 😀

i've been using 1280x1024 for quite some time now, so i guess its no big deal. when i used 1600x1200 on my 17" crt, everything was too small. i guess with a 21" lcd, that shouldn't be much of an issue anymore. hmm...

Yeah, a 21" LCD is like a 22.5" CRT.
A LCD viewable is always accurate.
A CRT is always short by 1-1.5 inches.
