Dell Inspiron XPS 710 Not displaying picture

I have an Inspiron XPS 710 and it isn't displaying any picture on my two monitors. I recently formatted the hard drive to get a fresh start (I do this about once a year). Before and after this format, the PC sometimes wouldn't display a picture after startup. It would startup, the fan would kick on loudly (it does this usually, but would then quiet down almost instantly and function normally) and stay on, and no image would pop up on the two monitors. I'd force shut down, start back up, and it'd work fine. Now, it won't display any picture at all. I shut it down a couple of weeks ago for the night, and then the next day when I started it up it won't work. It doesn't even do the fan kicking on loudly thing - it just starts like normal and there is no picture. Any ideas? Thanks.

Does your have the NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 in it? First thing I would do is have only one monitor connected. If the fans are not kicking up correctly, that is a deeper problem. Open it up and see what, if any, fans are spinning when you are turning it on (especially on the video card). While you are in there go ahead and reset the BIOS. Make sure the power connectors are ok on the video card.

I hope the video card hasn't died, but I will go ahead and say it now, that with this combination of events, that as a definite possibility.
