Dell Inspiron, would you buy (and accident warranty)

I'm having a hard time waiting for the next generation of laptop graphics... I've had my eye on the Inspiron 7000 with its IPS screen and 4GB GTX 960 for a very nice price. I could also add 4 years of warranty + 4 years of "accident" coverage (drinks & drops!) for cheap too...

What do you guys think? The machine itself gets good reviews, but some opinions of Dell support has been so-so... (same could be said for all the others too though.) 😉

Temptation made greater with the 12-mo interest-free payment plan as well.

So... soliciting your opinions, positive or negative. Thanks!

The Latitudes are very nice, but don't have the graphic power and twice the price. 🙁

Travel is actually pretty limited, would set up on desk, pack in bag and lock up overnight, bring home for the weekends.

Besides, 4 years warranty + 4 years accident insurance for $200 Canadian sure would guarantee longevity........... if they honor it!

(I remember the horror stories of several retail stores not honoring extended warranties, etc.) *shudder*

I'm sure they'll honor it. Legally they have to. They just might be a little slow. If it's not mission critical and given the limited amount you'll be carrying it around, it should be fine.

Thanks. The price dropped another $200 CDN so I might just have to jump on it.
