Dell Inspiron E1505 for $649 Hot?

So I realize this Dell laptophas a processor that doesn't do 64-Bit, but it IS dual core AND it has a 15.4 inch screen.

So I guess my question is that a hot price, or 'normal'? It just seems like a ridiculously low price for a 15 inch screen laptop with decent specs... Am I crazy?

the only way you can tell if a dell price is hot is to track them from week to week using the same configuration that you're thining about buying.

They had a 60gb/1gb RAM deal for $699 recently, so $649 isn't that amazing of a price for what you get.

I would say its hot, but personally I would wait for merom

I can see waiting for a Merom but my thought was that perhaps they are cleaning out inventory in anticipation of Merom's release.

Would we see prices this low on a 15 inch screen Merom in the next few months? Or will they have a price jump?

If it's a Dell deal that doesn't require entering some kind of coupon code it's usually not that great of a deal 😉. This one however seems to be ok, though as has been mentioned the same lappy with upgraded HD and Ram was available for about the same price AC recently.
