I put my laptop into hibernation, and there was a discrepancy between Windows 2000 and the BIOS (which, from what I hear, is a known problem), so now the laptop takes unbearably long to get past the keyboard verification before I get to a screen that says "Manufacturing Stage, press FN + X". Upon executing this keyboard combination, Windows SLOWLY resumes. Is there some explanation?
Steps I have taken to try to fix the problem:
Remove the battery and power and let the laptop sit
Remove the memory, hdd and all other removable drives
Also, does anybody know of a keyboard combination that clears the memory (something equivolent to clearing the CMOS)?
