Dell Small Business has the a new 10% off stackable coupon code. Valid both on system and accessory purchases. Good through 10/30.

Expires 10/30. Dell Small Business has 1) $200 instant off Inspiron 8200 notebooks. 2) Free shipping on most systems. 3) Free double memory or $100 rebate on most systems. 4) up to $300 off systems, $500 off servers. Consumers can also order from Dell Business.

Get an Inspiron 8200 with P4-1.7GHz-M, 15" SXGA+, 128MB DDR, 30GB, DVD, 32MB Geforce2Go Video, modem/NIC $1499 - $250 instant off - 10% dell coupon - $100 rebate = $1024 w/ free shipping, tax charged for most states.

Select Notebooks at the main page >> Inspiron >> featured system under 8200 >> Customize It under $1,249 8200 >> choose Norton AV 2002, Dell Jukebox >> add to cart and apply dell coupon code.

Note: There is no check box for the $100 rebate, but according to the form it should be honored as long as you don't get free double memory.
Update: Now free 40GB and CDRW upgrades are gone, but the rebate check box apears so the $100 rebate is definitely valid.

Get an Inspiron 8200 with P4-1.7GHz-M, 15" SXGA+, 128MB DDR, free 40GB upg, free 24x CD-RW upg, 32MB Geforce2Go Video, modem/NIC $1499 - $250 instant off - 10% dell coupon - $100 rebate = $1024 w/ free shipping, tax charged for most states.

I don't see mention of the free upgrades anywhere, namely the CDRW & 40GB 5400RPM HDD. ANy thoughts on this?

Nice Price. This was exactly what i was planning to get.

but remember, you will get charged for tax in most states. so it will be $1125 + ~$100 ( tax) = $1225 - $100 MIR = $1125 net price to you.
Still pretty HOT.

Now, if you can get a 5% off stackable SB coupon, that will reduce the price by another ~$55 making it under $1100 shipped to you - NOW THATS HOT

hope that helps

they are over....the CD-RW and 40GB upgrade ended last night. but there was no $100 MIR and only $200 instant savings last night. So todays deal is better than last night if you dont need a CD-RW.

I would rather have a DVD drive on a laptop than a CD-RW

Yes, "FREE CD-RW upgrade" means you loose your DVD-rom drive unless you pay ~$100 extra for a DVD/CD-RW combo drive.

All DELL deals (instant savings, coupons, free upgrades) expire midnight EST. but they show up on DELL's site till next morning. I think they update their site sometime in the morning.

But after midnight, if you place your order online, it will show all the free upgrades and savings but when you add to card, sometimes they dont show up but at other times they do. For all dell deals to be honored, you have to place your order before midnight EST.

You guys remember the days when $1000 was really cheap for a desktop?

In 97, I paid $4K+ for a PII266 with 32MB of RAM, a 3.2GB HDD and a 4MB #9 video card and a 19" Optiquest monitor.

heh, in 99, i paid $1200 for a HP PIII 500 w/ cd-rw and cd-rom drive w/ 128 mb of ram and a 8mb TNT video card. was a killer system at the time. that was the time when 4x cd-rw drives were just coming out and were costing ~$300+ alone for them

Select your warranty as 1 year - mail in rather than 3 years. that should lower your price.
