for owners, can you go to support.dell.com and then click "configuration" after you enter your service tag #...

under processors what does it say?

mine is 800mhz, but it says:

Manufacturer Intel
Voltage 3.3
External Clock Speed 100 Hz
Maximum Clock Speed 1000 Hz
Current Clock Speed 800 Hz


Does that mean anything? Like can my laptop do 1ghz, is it a 1ghz chip OR is it just saying 1ghz is the max speed for that type of memory?

i guess 1ghz is the max speed for the board.

Intel has a CPU ID utility if you are unsure.
