Anyone have any experience with this shinza sleeve?

i have the shinza sleeve.. i love it cause it looks cool and provides decent protection for a sleeve... the only problem is that the 700m doesn't really fit with the extended battery.. it almost does, but you have to stretch it a little, and after a while, the foam gets all messed up, and rips away from the edging (it's foam covered in cloth with an edging).. it's still usable, but it is a problem..

i love my 700m.. it's hands down my best purchase in the last year.. i've had it for almost a year now, and i haven't had too many problems.. my battery got messed up once, i called them, and i got a new battery in a day..

Damn I didn't want to hear that 🙁 I have the extended battery as well. Is there another sleeve that will fit the 700m better?

How about this guy?

w00t! 700m rocks! next month will mark a year since i got this and i also love it.
keyboard takes a little getting used to but it's all good. the extra bright sreen is pretty awesome but the reflections and glares kinda sucks at times.

i've had some problems with the DVD writer but i got it replaced by dell and now it's fine.
also i got the blue screen of death several times but when i searched for the problem it was out of my hands. the source of it was with Microsoft but they have no solution as of now. i haven't been getting the blue screen as often as before so hopefully with the updates and patches it will go away for good.

the bf unit got me a slim laptop sleeve from The Gap and it's nice for when you have to put it inside a regular messenger bag. i have the extended battery also and it fits perfectly, very snuggly but unfortunately it doesn't have room for anything extra such as the charger so i got this in addition to it.

This looks sweet!

I also have one, I use the shinza sleeve without a problem with an extended battery. *Shrug* go figure. Anyways adidas makes a really good messenger bag that has extra padding for a laptop and also space for a bunch of textbooks or whatever. I gotta find a link........

Not sure if the 14 inch fits or not, but I know for a fact that the 12 inch doesn't at all. 😉

I guess I'll have to measure the dimensions of my laptop with the battery in it before I click on the purchase button 🙂

700m owner checking in, currently out of comission, have a replacement keyboard on the way.

Freaking cats knocked a glass of iced tea onto the keyboard, really hope a new one will fix it.

I bumped my memory up to a gig and pugraded the mini PCI card to 802.11b/g instead of just b.

Considering putting in a DVDR in it...

I've had mine for about a year, love it, no problems except for a little blemishing on the silver area above the keyboard where the screen touches.

I have a cheapo neoprene sleeve I keep it in then just carry it in a regular JanSport backback most of the time.

is it wrong that i take joy in telling customers all of the proprietary things dell does?

P.S. they're good machines as long as you take care of them
It's a laptop. Almost everything is proprietary in laptops regardless of brand.

I love mine... but the white design border is wearing down to the silver on the corners.
It's not a terrible performer either... my main rig's mobo died and I hooked up the notebook to my LCD, mouse, and keyboard. The intel "extreme" graphics can play wolfenstein: et fine at 800x600... but I do wish that it had an option to install (or capability) a radeon 9700 or something at the time.

I was using a sony neoprene sleeve but I bought an Adidas messenger from ebags (goes in and out of stock) that has a padded compartment for a notebook. Works and looks great.
