Hi, I have an Inspiron 6400 Laptop which I use for my Kitchen Supply Business in Dublin Ireland. We use it for doing 3D images of Kitchen Designs. We need to replace the battery and we have found a supplier in USA who is selling Inspiron 6400 batteries at a good price. We would like to ask if all batteries for Inspiron 6400 Code: GD671 are the same worldwide from Dell.

FYI - Inspiron 6400 is the same as Inspiron e1505, so batteries should be interchangable between both model names. Also, its not hard to find batteries at a "good price". The problem is that laptop batteries have a finite life which means they start losing max. charge capacity from the manufacture date, regardless of whether or not the battery is actually used. So, it's conceivable that a battery can be "new" and unused, but be near the end of its useful life, having sat on a shelf for many months/years. If you aren't buying the batteries new from Dell, you should inquire about the manufacture date before purchasing.

Good luck!
