Dell Inspiron 6000 windows problem

So My girlfriends laptop keeps getting this blue screen that says

"Windows has encountered a fatal error and needs to close to protect the computer..."

Or something close to that, today it happened three times. Sometimes it will happen multiple times in a day and sometimes go days without happening. It says it could be a result of newly installed drivers. I uninstalled most new things that weren't needed, ran spybot, AVF, CC, and spyware doctor to see if something came up, but it turned up nothing.

I removed limewire and all of those type of crap programs and still the problem persists. I thought maybe it was because she visits myspace and downloads crap that you need to post pics and gifs from people and all that myspace extension crap but I'm not sure.


Any idea what could be causing this? If it helps, the computer usually freezes up right before, and then just skips to blue screen with the message.

go into BIOS after it does this and check the CPU temp. She may have a cooling issue. Other than that you will need to give us more details from the event log.
