Dell Inspiron 4150: What video card does it have?

I'm about to order an Inspiron 4150 from the Canadian Dell site. (dell.ca)

The configuration thing says I can choose between the 16MB ATI Mobility? Radeon Video Card or 32MB ATI Mobility? Radeon Video Card . But if I go in the 4150's Tech Specs page, under video cards it has 16 MB DDR ATI MobilityTM RADEONTM 7500 4X AGP and 32 MB DDR ATI MobilityTM RADEONTM 7500 4X AGP.

I'm pretty sure it should be a 7500, anybody can confirm this?

Thanks 🙂

I ordered it with XP Home but will be putting XP Pro on it anyways...

I can't wait to get it, now I just need a wireless router & PC Card. 😀

Why didn't you order with the truemobile 1184 mini-pci card? then you would have the WLAN card all integrated in the computer. No parts will be sticking out of the computer.

It's 150$ CDN, and I can get an Orinoco PCMCIA for ~90$. This way I can also sell it if I ever want to upgrade to 802.11a in the future.

The part sticking out doesn't bother me much, as the PC card slots are the corner near the back of the notebook on the 4150, and I can just take it out when I leave the house. From what I saw on Dell's site, there's no significant difference in range between the 2.

Strange, here in norway we get the mini pci card for under 50$(american). It uses the same chip as the orinoco card (at least the european version), and comes with the same client software.

Yeah, I know they use the same chip. I don't know why it's more expensive here, but it sucks. 🙂 Kinda like how upgrading from 256MB (2 DIMMs) to 256MB (1 DIMM) costs 50$ CDN here, while it costs 100$ US in the States. :Q

Anyways, the money I save pays for half of the wireless router, so I figured I'd put up with the little thingy sticking out.

maybe u can find one off ebay

thanks, hadn't thought about that. Since it's a mini-PCI, I can add it myself, and there's a few on ebay for cheaper...

Doesn't it need an internal antenna in the notebook though? Or maybe the antenna is already in all of them?
