Hi,

I currently have Dell factory installed 128MB Synch 100mhz CL2 on the system. I purchased two 256MB-PC133 3.3v 144Pin SO-DIMM from Outpost (http://www.outpost.com/product/3049519). When I take out the 128MB and install one of the 256MB chip, the laptop will not boot. Any advice?

If I got the wrong RAM, is there another one on Outpost that I can use instead?

Thanks a bunch!

This is the memory that your trying to find over a the Dell web site .

This would have been a better place to have bought your ram over at Crucial , hard to tell exactly what is going to be the correct memory stick for your inspiron from Outpost unless you call them up and explain .

Thanks Gazza. I am returning the memory I purchased at Outpost. The link at Crucial is much more clear and am confident the RAM will work this time. :) :) :)
