Dell Inspiron 1150, how do I make 800x600 not stretch?

I am trying to hook this up to a projector but the resolution stretches to fit the monitor. How can I get it to have the black around the edges of the monitor, (not stretch) so that the screen does not go off the edges on the projector?

I have a D600 and there is an option in BIOS i think, but I didnt find one on the 1150.

Please help. I just bought 5 of these suckers for presentation laptops.

I do not have the "displays" tab. just General, Adapter, Monitor, Troubleshoot, Color management.

Monitor had nothing to do with adjustments

Hmm, do you have the video card drivers installed? Im not familiar with that laptop, however, most computers ive seen have a display tab. It could also be that your laptop doesnt support non-stretching.

In my 8600 bios, there is a expand video option. Its on like page 3 of the bios, your BIOS might be similar

ATI's drivers have the option to disable stretching, try looking through the Intel control panels.
